# MICH

The Modular Integrated Communications Helmet (MICH) is a specialized combat helmet used by the U.S. military, designed to enhance the integration of communication systems while providing robust ballistic protection. The MICH is a precursor to the Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) and represents a significant evolution from older helmet designs like the PASGT. It is primarily made from Kevlar, ensuring high levels of protection against ballistic threats and shrapnel. The design of the MICH focuses on a lower helmet profile, which not only improves the field of vision and hearing but also enhances compatibility with various communication devices and night vision equipment.
